Open an ODP File Without LibreOffice
Got an .odp presentation and no LibreOffice? Open it in your browser, edit the slides, and save it back as ODP — or as PPTX or PDF. Nothing to install, nothing uploaded.
How it works
- Click Open your ODP to launch the editor in your browser.
- Pick the .odp file from your device, or drag and drop it onto the page.
- Page through the slides, or edit them — it opens as a real presentation editor.
- Save it back as ODP, or export as PPTX or PDF.
ODP is the OpenDocument Presentation format, produced by LibreOffice Impress and OpenOffice. Like the rest of the OpenDocument family it is an open ISO standard, which is why it shows up in academia, public administration and anywhere a deck has to outlive whichever office suite happened to be installed.
The OnlyOffice presentation engine, compiled to WebAssembly, renders the slides in your browser: layouts, images, shapes, charts and text boxes come across as a real deck rather than a set of flat pictures. Edit the slides and save back as ODP to stay in the open format, or export to PPTX for a colleague on PowerPoint, or to PDF for a fixed copy that looks the same everywhere.
Nothing is uploaded — the file is read from disk into the tab and stays there. Once the page has loaded it is an installable app, so opening a deck works on a train, on conference wifi you do not trust, or with no connection at all.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open an ODP file without LibreOffice?
Yes. This editor opens ODP directly in your browser — no LibreOffice, OpenOffice or PowerPoint needed.
What is an ODP file?
ODP is OpenDocument Presentation, the open ISO-standard slide format used by LibreOffice Impress and OpenOffice.
Can I edit the slides, or only view them?
You can edit them. It opens as a real presentation editor, not a set of flat images.
Can I save it back as ODP?
Yes. You can save it back in the same open format, or export it as PPTX or PDF.
Can I convert ODP to PowerPoint?
Yes. Open the ODP and save as PPTX — the conversion runs on your device.
Is my presentation uploaded?
No. It is opened locally in your browser with WebAssembly and never leaves your device.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no email required.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once loaded it is an installable PWA and keeps working with no internet connection.
